Little Explorers! Now firmly established in their independence, toddlers thrive in classrooms where teachers encourage them to explore their surroundings and play with one another. We encourage them to explore and learn from the world around them. As toddlers get older, socialization becomes increasingly important for them as they start sharing, using their manners, and taking turns. Our toddler classrooms are primarily devoted to teaching children social-emotional skills through language development. There are opportunities for dramatic play, discovery science, blocks, art, early literacy, water play, sand play, music, and movement, as well as daily opportunities for outdoor play. As our young toddlers grow, they begin counting numbers and showing familiarity with letters. We sing our daily songs to learn about the day of the week, the month, and the year. We enjoy diving into our art projects and seeing how we can use a wide range of materials to create something beautiful. We enjoy watching our teachers do exciting science projects and love to watch our friends guess what will happen and see their eyes full of surprise!
